The project “Building Resilient Services and Infrastructure for Climate-Affected Migrated Slum Communities in Satkhira, Bangladesh” was implemented by Habitat for Humanity International–Bangladesh (HFHI-B) from May 2023 to April 2026, with funding from the Climate Bridge Fund (CBF), a trust fund established by BRAC with support from the Government of Germany through KfW. It operated in four climate-vulnerable settlements of Satkhira Municipality: Kukhrali Boshpara Colony, WAPDA Par Colony, Miah Saheber Dangi, and Roichpur Bagbati Colony.

The project strengthened the resilience of climate-affected migrant slum communities by improving access to climate-adaptive housing, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services, while promoting sustainable livelihoods. Central to its approach was empowering women-led community-based organizations and self-help groups to enhance leadership, community mobilization, and local governance.

Through integrated interventions, the project upgraded housing infrastructure, built climate-resilient WASH facilities, improved drainage and pathways, and supported income-generating activities. By combining infrastructure development with community capacity-building, it enhanced safety, health, and economic stability, fostering long-term resilience for vulnerable households against climate-related shocks.
